چکیده
Monopropellant thruster is one of the most propulsion system types developed in space industry. This uses a single type propellant that reacts porous medium catalytic packed bed to generate thrust form hot gases. The last decade, green hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), also known as High Test Peroxide (HTP), thanks its low cost and easy store liquid, used an alternative solution hydrazine which very toxic not environmentally friendly. In current study, monopropellant investigated for application future satellites. A numerical simulation performed using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software ANSYS Fluent order simulate fluid flow thruster, finite volume method was employed resolving governing equation. Species transport model applied single-phase reaction Eddy Dissipation (EDM) turbulence-chemistry interaction. mathematical approach based on local thermal non-equilibrium (LTNE) describe heat transfer through solid phases consisting identical spherical silver particles. Several simulations allowed optimal design injector, catalyst length diameter nozzle geometry, achieve 10N with at 87.5% concentration.

Preliminary Development of a Hydrogen Peroxide Thruster
Green propellants used for satellite-level propulsion system become attractive in recent years because the non-toxicity and lower requirements of safety protection. One of the green propellants, high-concentration hydrogen peroxide H2O2 solution (≥70% w/w, weight concentration percentage), often known as high-test peroxide (HTP), is considered because it is ITAR-free, easy to manufacture and th...
متن کاملA Monopropellant Milli-Newton Thruster System for Attitude Control of Nanosatellites
Work is progressing on monopropellant thrusters for use as an attitude control system for nanosatellites (satellites whose mass is under 10 kilograms). The thrust range for these microthrusters is on the order of millinewtons. Systems using both hydrazine and hydrogen peroxide are being developed which will offer higher performance than currently available thrusters for nanosatellites. Complete...
متن کاملSmall-Scale Planar Nitrous Oxide Monopropellant Thruster for “Green” Propulsion and Power Generation
Research is ongoing at Stanford University on the catalytic decomposition of nitrous oxide as an environmentally friendly monopropellant for propulsion and power applications. Two meso-scale planar monopropellant thrusters have been successfully tested: one made of monolithic silicon carbide utilizing a commercially supplied catalyst, and the other made of Hastelloy-X ® utilizing a rhodium base...
متن کاملA Novel SOI MESFET by Implanted N Layer (INL-SOI) for High Performance Applications
This paper introduces a novel silicon-on-insulator (SOI) metal–semiconductor field-effect transistor (MESFET) with an implanted N layer (INL-SOI MESFET) to improve the DC and radio frequency characteristics. The DC and radio frequency characteristics of the proposed structure are analyzed by the 2-D ATLAS simulator and compared with a conventional SOI MESFET (C-SOI MESFET). The simulated result...
متن کاملPerformance Analysis of an Integrated Multi-Mode Chemical Monopropellant Inductive Plasma Thruster
A novel multi-mode spacecraft propulsion concept is presented. The concept combines chemical monopropellant and electric pulsed inductive thruster technology to include shared propellant and shared conical nozzle. Geometry calculations show that existing conical pulsed inductive thruster experiments are typical of large (1000-4000 N) chemical monopropellant thruster nozzles. Performance and pro...
